Generations continued - Embrace Generation Y

An interesting blog by CC Holland (October 27th, 2008) cites an article written by Kirk Snyder from the Huffington Post on Gen Y Workers as the economic salvation and the key for a successful economic future. Snyder claims that Gen Y holds the key because they were born into the future. They have been using technology from a very early age, and their understanding of the world has expanded. Apparently this group sees the world of work in it's evolving form and adapt their beliefs and behaviors to align with the current dynamic conditions. Their view of the future is to recapture our greatness and adapt to a changing paradigm rather than go down with the ship in a resigned state such that is currently being proclaimed by much of corporate America.
Their ideas foster more collaberation, more communication, and more inclusion and their professional instincts will help reinvent old products and processes. This generation views their own success as being tied to the success of others much more so than their predecessors.
We can all learn from each other, regardless of generational differences. These are our future leaders.
